Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the generation of fiber waste and smooth the spread of a cleaning fluid in the width direction and further, clean a printer cylinder uniformly and neatly using numerous recessed areas.
SOLUTION: The cleaning sheet for a printer cylinder is manufactured by gathering fibers three-dimensionally together by a wet paper making process. The cleaning sheet contains a heat-fusible fiber as a binder fiber. In addition, the heat-fusible fiber as a binder fiber is formed like a crepe at a temperature for fusing the fiber and thereby numerous irregularities are created on the surface.
