Abstract:
To provide a cleaning tool for an optical connector capable of suppressing cloth shift of a cleaning cloth and of stably cleaning a high-density multi-fiber connector.SOLUTION: A cleaning tool for an optical connector is for cleaning a surface 12 to be cleaned where a plurality of optical fibers 13 for a flat ferrule 14 are exposed by being inserted in a sleeve 21 and includes: a base member 25 having a head 22 inserted in the sleeve 21; and a guide member housing the base member 25 in the state that the head 22 protrudes. There are provided: a belt-like cleaning cloth which is folded back by the head 22 and moves; and a head spring (spring member) energizing the base member 25 toward the ferrule 14. Both end parts in a width direction orthogonal to a thickness direction of the head 22 are provided with fins 34 (fall-off prevention parts 51) preventing fall-off of the cleaning cloth 3 by approximating both side walls 21a of the sleeve 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
