PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lightly and efficiently wipe out a contaminant under the application of a suitable load by applying the constitution that a cleaning cylinder connected to the end of a handle for attaching a cleaning cloth on the external surface thereof is formed to have at least two round type curved surfaces, and give an acute angle at a sharp end part where the curved surfaces are jointed to each other.
SOLUTION: A cleaning tool 1 is formed out of a cleaning tool body with a cleaning cylinder 2 rotatably connected to the end of a handle 3, and a cleaning cloth 5 attached to the outer surface of the cleaning cylinder 2. Also, the ends of the two round type curved surfaces 6 and 6' of the cleaning cylinder 2 are jointed to each other for forming the outer surface of the cleaning cylinder 2, and an angle θ formed with the curved surfaces 6 and 6' at the sharp ends 7 and 7 at the connected part of the curved surfaces 6 and 6' is preferably an acute angle within the range of 30 to 70 degrees. In addition, constitution is made so that a braking load applies to the cleaning cylinder 2 at a position where an angle (a) formed with a plane A resulting from the connection of the sharp ends 7 and 7, and the handle 3, becomes zero or more, but equal to or less than 1/10 of the acute angle θ, and at another position 180-degree rotated from the former position.
