Abstract:
To provide a cleaning tool which realizes easy cleaning of ferrule end-faces inside optical connector receptacles with housings of different shapes.SOLUTION: A cleaning tool 10 comprises a tool body 11, and an extended portion 20 extending from the tool body and having a head 22 for pressing a cleaner 1 against a cleaning target on a pressing face thereof. The extended portion comprises an inner guide 50 through which the head is inserted and an outer guide 60 through which the inner guide is inserted. When cleaning a first optical connector, an outer periphery of the outer guide directs the head toward a ferrule end-face of the first optical connector. When cleaning a second optical connector with a housing of a shape different from that of the first optical connector, the outer guide slides back to expose the inner guide on the second optical connector side, which allows an outer periphery of the inner guide to direct the head toward a ferrule end-face of the second optical connector.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
