PURPOSE: To provide a cleaning utensil capable of easily cleaning a floor surface under a short object without reducing an angle between a shank part and the floor surface.

CONSTITUTION: To one end of a rod-like shank part 12 is mounted one end of a bent shank part 18 bent by a predetermined angle in one direction and further bent by a predetermined angle in the opposite direction at its tip to form an approximately S-shaped shank. A cleaning utensil 14 is constituted to be mounted to the other end of the bent shank part 18 under the oscillating condition. Also, in place of the bent shank part 18, a variable type shank part 20 bent freely only by a force exceeding a force applied in cleaning is constituted to be mounted.
