PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition having such high cleansing power as to remove both makeup stains due to e.g. rouge and stains due to e.g. sebum by a single operation and high foam performance, and excellent in use feeling and long-term preservability, comprising a fatty acid soap, a polyhydric alcohol and a polyalkylene glycol.
CONSTITUTION: This cleansing agent composition comprises (A) a fatty acid soap of the formula R1COOM [R1 is a 7-21C alkyl or alkenyl; M is an alkali(alkaline earth) metal, ammonium or alkylolamine] [e.g. 5-25wt.% of a triethanolamine laurate], (B) a polyhydric alcohol (e.g. 5-25wt.% of 1,3-butylene glycol), and (C) a polyalkylene glycol of the formula (R2 is an 8-22C aliphatic alcohol residue; Y is an 8-22C alkyl; (n) is 40-80) (e.g. 0.5-10wt.% of a polyoxyethylene tallow alkyl hydroxymyristylene ether).
