Abstract:
To provide a clear powder coating composition which yields a coating retaining a sufficient impact resistance without deteriorating its transparency and appearance and has a good corrosion resistance, and an aluminum wheel coated with the clear powder coatings.
The objective composition comprises, against 100 pts.wt. powder coating composition comprising an acrylic resin and a hardener, from 1 to 20 pts.wt. silicon dioxide with a maximum primary particle size of from 0.5 to 7 μm and a purity of 97% or larger and from 0.1 to 4 pts.wt. silane coupling agent. Preferably, the acrylic resin has an oxirane ring as a functional group.
