To provide a clearance adjusting apparatus for a disc brake device capable of precluding an over-adjustment when the wear of friction pads is adjusted using a simple construction and exerting a wear adjusting function even if a parking brake is actuated.

The disc brake device for this invention equipped with a parking brake mechanism is furnished with a piston 18 to put friction pads 12 and 13 in engagement with a brake disc 11, a seal member 17 to roll back the piston 18 after making a forward stroke for a specified distance, an output transmitting member 32 to abut to the back face of the piston 18, an input member 25 to be engaged with the output transmitting member 32 through a first screw mechanism S1 for actuating the parking brake, an adjusting member 33 to be engaged with the output transmitting member 32 through a second screw mechanism S2 in opposite threading to the first S1, a clutch mechanism 35 to restrain the rotation of the adjusting member 35, and a coil spring 36 to energize the adjusting member 33 in the reversing direction.
