To provide a clerks work dynamics survey system that can appropriately attain a survey purpose contributing to improving clerical work efficiency by accurately determining the type and time of various nonclerical items included in clerical work and accurately determining actual clerical work hours.

Information on belonging clerks, information on clerical items to be performed by the clerks, and information on nonclerical items other than the clerical items are databased in advance in a portable computer. The clerk information is displayed onscreen and a clerk to be surveyed is selected. The clerical item information is displayed onscreen and the nonclerical item information is also displayed. Clerical items performed by the clerk are selected for storage from the clerical item information displayed onscreen, and nonclerical items performed by the clerk, who performs the clerical items, are selected for storage from the nonclerical item information. The start/end time is added for storage to the selected clerical items and nonclerical items.
