Title:
CLIENT LEAVE-THE-SEAT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR DISTRIBUTED SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1139268
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the illegal intrusion of a third person through a left client by performing the unitary management of clients on a management server via this server and also managing the security via the management server. SOLUTION: The operator of a client 1 notifies a management server 10 of the start of the work, and the client 1 monitors the leave-the-seat state based on a client inherent information table that is acquired by the client 1 from the server 10. In the leave-the-seat monitoring process, the communication state between the client 1 and every server 10 is monitored by a timer included in the client 1. The timer counts the time until the time-out of the leave-the-seat state after the management data are acquired. A leave-the-seat monitoring timer is reset as long as the client 1 continues its work via the operator and then starts again its counting operation when the communication is over. Then the client inherent information table that is expanded onto a memory is cleared at the time-out of the leave-the-seat state, and the end of the work is notified to the server 10.
