To provide a clip mounting device certainly fitting a clip in an annular groove without deforming it in simple constitution.
This device to fit and mount the ring clip 4 in the annular groove 5 is furnished with a sleeve 6 to guide the clip 4 to the annular groove 5 while contracting it in diameter, a cutout 7 formed on a side surface of this sleeve 6 with inclination and a pressing member 8 made of a holding part 9 and a shaft part 10 to move the clip 4 set on an inner peripheral surface of the sleeve 6 from this cutout 7 in the sleeve 6 by pushing it out and fit it in the annular groove 5. The shaft part 10 is constituted of a guide part 11 to push out the clip 4 by engaging it with itself, a fitting part 12 to position the sleeve 6 against the annular groove 5 by fitting it in a hole 3a of a plunger 3 fitted and installed in a head plunger hole 2 and a connecting part 13 to connect the guide part 11 and the fitting part 12 to each other.
