To realize a stable demodulation operation by solving the problem concerned with clock timing control under an unstable condition of a propagation path such as multipath fading in a wireless data transmission system using angle modulation or amplitude angle modulation.
Deviations of identification timing from Nyquist timing are divided into positive direction deviations, negative direction deviations and no deviation. In order to solve the problem, a position direction deviation of a minimum detection unit and more, a negative direction deviation of the minimum detection unit and more and a deviation less than the minimum detection unit are respectively temporarily ternarized to +1, -1 and 0 independently of the size of the deviation, additional cumulation processing for the ternarized outputs is executed, and when the processing result reaches a previously set threshold or exceeds the threshold, control is performed.
