To provide a clock in which the operations other than an operation to drive a pointer can be performed with good efficiency by using the force of a motor which drives the pointer.

The clock is provided with the motor which drives a pointer 331 and a pointer 332, a spring winding-up means 370 which winds out a spring by using the force of the motor, a spring release means which releases the spring at a prescribed timing so as to be interlocked with the drive of the pointers, a drive part 390 which is driven by the force of the spring, and a pointer adjusting pinion 360. The spring winding-up means is provided with a first gear and a second gear which support both ends of the spring. The first gear is turned by the turned of the pointer adjusting pinion. The spring release means regulates the rotation of the second gear, and it releases the regulation at a prescribed timing. The drive part is driven by the torque, of the second gear, generated by the spring, and it beats a sounding body 391.
