Abstract:

PURPOSE: To increase the cooling efficiency of a closed cooling tower having a wet type cooler so that the cooling tower can be made smaller and lighter in structure, the area occupied thereby in situ can be lessened, and it can be manufactured with sureness in mechanical aspects, with ease, and at low cost.

CONSTITUTION: Inside a closed cooling tower a wet type cooler 4 is formed, which is designed to cool a cooling medium passed through cooling tubes 1 in a manner of both latent-heat cooling and sensible-heat cooling by use of both cooling water 3 sprinkled from a sprinkler 2 on the cooling tubes 1 and cooling outside air. A plurality of plate type fins 6, 6, 6... are attached to the cooling tubes 1 at intervals.
