Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable to readily adjust the concentration of a seed agent by detecting the concentration of the seed agent which ionizes a work fluid and adjusting only the difference from the optimum quantity value. CONSTITUTION:The seed rate for maximizing the generating efficiency is a function of flow rate, temperature, pressure and generating quantity of work fluid at the inlet of an MHD generator 3. These pieces of information are detected by detectors 10, the optimum seed rate is determined by a calculator 11, and the seed rate of the work fluid is adjusted by a seed quantity regulator. The regulation of the seed rate may be finely determined after the seed is once filled in the work fluid since the generator is operated in a closed cycle.
