To provide a closed-type foam fire extinguishing head with a foaming screen which has a strong and simple configuration, credibly closes and holds a valve using a thermosensitive decomposing section, and can be downsized.

The closed-type foam fire extinguishing head 10 includes a frame member 12 having an open nozzle section 14 connected to a pipe connecting port 13 from which a foam fire extinguisher is supplied and an almost U-shaped arm section 16 extending on the opening side of the nozzle section 14, a pip cap 20 arranged on the nozzle section 14 and acting as a valve member, a glass valve 24 which is attached to the frame member 12 to hold the valve member in a closed position and decomposes by heat of a hot-air flow of flame to release the valve member and to open the nozzle section, a ring member 30 supported by and fixed to the frame member 12 and having an opening 32 for housing the distal end 18 of the arm section, a deflector 28 arranged on the distal end 18 of the arm section passed through the opening 32 of the ring member 30, and the foaming screen 34 fixed to the outer circumference of the ring member 30 and arranged around the circumference of the deflector 28.
