PURPOSE: To provide a closed type motor-driven compressor capable of reducing the dead volume of a delivery port by the protrusion of a piston while the restrictions of suction and delivery lines, etc., are eliminated, suppressing the lowering of loss and capacity due to re-expansion of compression gas, and increasing the efficiency of a compressor.
CONSTITUTION: In a closed type motor-driven compressor of which compressing mechanism part comprises a cylinder 4, a piston 2 which reciprocates in the cylinder 4, a valve seat plate 5 in which suction and delivery ports 7 and 6 are formed, suction and delivery valves 16 and 17 provided on the valve seat plate 5, a passage system for separating a gas suction line from a gas delivery line, and a mechanism part for converting the rotary movement of a crankshaft 1 into the linear reciprocating motion of the piston 2, a protruded part 2a is formed at the top end of the piston 2. Then the protruded part 2a is formed at a position eccentric from the center of the piston so that it comes into a delivery port 6 formed in the valve seat plate 5.
