To provide a closure for a compressed bag, which is made to move sideways smoothly, is prevented from coming off laterally or longitudinally, and is retreated from an opening of the compressed bag when not used so as not to hamper taking out and putting in of a content.
According to the closure, projections 3d, 3c are formed on opposite inner surfaces in an engaging space 3c of a closure body 3 sliding along a fastener 2. Stoppers 4 are formed on both ends of an opening Pa in its length direction, and depressions 4a, 4a are formed on the outside of the stoppers 4 to be engaged with the projections 3d, 3d, respectively. The engaging space 3c of the closure body 3 is only slightly narrower than the thickness of the faster 2 when the fastener 2 is engaged, which allows the closure body 3 to move sideways smoothly. Also, the engagement between the depressions 4a, 4a and the projections 3d, 3d prevents the closure body 3 from coming off longitudinally. Thus the closure allows the effective use of the entire length of the opening Pa and enables the closure body 3 to be slid to the end of the fastener 2 to close it securely.
