Title:
CLOTH FOR AVERTING SPARK FOR WELDING AND CUTTING BY HEATING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3014024
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain cloth for averting a spark, capable of raising heat resistance and flame resistance to a spark in comparison with spark averting cloth woven from yarn composed of conventional carbonized organic fiber without reducing tensile strength and without raising a cost.
CONSTITUTION: This cloth for averting a spark is produced by using mixed yarn 4 obtained by blending and spinning carbonized organic fiber 2 prepared by carbonizing about 60% of polyacrylonitrile fibers and ceramic fibers 3 in the fiber blending ratio of 25.0wt.% of the former and 75.0wt.% of the latter and weaving the mixed yarn 4 by plain weave, twill weave, etc. Core yarn 5 such as glass yarn or cotton yarn to raise the tensile strength of the mixed yarn 4 may be added to the central part of the mixed yarn 4.
