Abstract:
To provide a folding device capable of folding a cloth in a state that a face visible at the top of the cloth is always a prescribed face after folding even when either of a front face and a rear face of the cloth is placed in a prescribed direction at the time of placing the cloth in the folding device.SOLUTION: A folding device that finishes folding work by folding an extended cloth on a conveyance path from a conveyance start point to a conveyance end point comprises: means for indicating a cloth prescribed direction face that outputs a signal for indicating whether a front face or a rear face of a cloth before folding on the conveyance path is in a prescribed direction; and a folder 3 for folding the cloth on the conveyance path so that a prescribed face of the front face and the rear face can be at the top of the cloth, based on the signal outputted by the means for indicating a cloth prescribed direction face.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
