Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a cloth having a three-dimensional structure, a space index and a thickness falling within respective specific ranges, excellent designability and good compressive resistance, air-passability, water-passability by connecting the front and back base textures with colored filament yarns having a specific single fiber fineness.

CONSTITUTION: A polyester filament yarn is woven by a double-Raschel loom to form a mesh texture as the front base texture and a flat texture having high dimensional stability as the rear base texture. Both textures are connected with connecting yarns to obtain a three-dimensional structure cloth. In the above structure, ≥5% of the connecting yarns are mass-colored polyamide, polyester or polyolefin filament yarns having a single fiber fineness of ≥10de. The cloth is degummed, relaxed, spontaneously dried and heat-set to obtain a three-dimensional structure cloth having a thickness of 2-30mm and a space index K of 0.4-0.98. The index K is defined by formula K=1-(W/C.T) wherein W (g/m2) is areal density of the cloth, C (g/cm3) is average density of the fiber material and T (cm3/m2) is volume of the cloth.
