PURPOSE: To provide a cloth inspecting apparatus for getting inspection information on woven cloth and surely detecting defective warps without judging an electric noise or external disturbance as a defective warp.
CONSTITUTION: The inspecting apparatus is provided with two or more space filters 14, 15 having the same shapes, differential computing circuits 17a, 17b to perform the differential processing of the output signals transmitted from the space filters 14, 15, a time difference correction circuit 21 computing the time difference of the two or more space filters 14, 15 inspecting the same position of woven cloth W and correcting the time difference in such a manner as to eliminate the time difference Δt of the differential output signals outputted from respective differential computing circuits 20a, 20b or processed signals subjected to a prescribed processing, a processing circuit 22 to process the differential output signal or processed signal corrected by the time difference correction circuit 21 and a judging circuit 27 to judge the acceptability of the woven cloth W based on the output signal processed by the processing circuit 22.
