PURPOSE: To provide a cloth inspecting apparatus to get inspection information by irradiating an inspection area of woven cloth with light and receiving the light with a light-receiving means composed of a space filter and to surely detect the defective warp independent of the external disturbance, noise and the kind of woven cloth.
CONSTITUTION: Inspection information on woven cloth W is obtained by the objective cloth inspecting apparatus moving relative to the woven cloth W, irradiating the inspection area of the woven cloth W with light and receiving the light with a light-receiving means composed of a space filter 14. The inspecting apparatus is provided with a differential computing circuit 17 to perform the differential processing of the output signal transmitted from the space filter 14, an adding and storage processing circuit 19 to add and store the signal outputted from the differential computing circuit 17 or a signal subjected to a prescribed processing and a judging circuit 21 to judge the acceptability of the woven cloth based on the addition output signal stored in the adding and storage processing circuit.
