PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brace 3a with a handrail even on the gable side of a temporary scaffold.SOLUTION: The temporary scaffold is provided with the braces 3 and 3a with the handrail and scaffold board installing cloth materials 5 and 50 via a binding part 4 composed of a flange 11, by erecting a plurality of paired columns 1 at a required interval along a building so as to become longitudinal to the building H. Its gable side cloth material 50 is composed of a rod-like member 51 over between the paired columns and a fitting part 52 fitted by covering the binding part 4 locked with the end of the brace 3 on its both ends, and its fitting part is composed of a baylike piece 52a for avoiding the brace end and a half-split cylinder 52b fitted from its upper side to the binding part 4 on its tip. Since the cloth material 50 is not fitted in a locking hole 12 of the flange 11, it can be installed on the substantially same plane in the vertical direction as the lower end of a diagonal member 32 of the brace 3a with the handrail. Thus, the brace 3a can be provided on its gable side even in a gable side scaffold board 2 of the temporary scaffold, so that safety is improved. Both are integrated by locking the cloth material 50 on a diagonal rod 32 of the brace 3a by an end stopper 53 of the rod-like member 51.
