Abstract:
PURPOSE: To effectively deodorize bad smells of trousers, etc., by detachably attaching a deodorizing sheet, which can be regenerated by washing, on the cloth treatment member like a trousers press or an iron base.
CONSTITUTION: When the deodorizing sheet is applied on a trousers press composed of the upper and lower press plates 1, 2 having heaters at the inside face, it is detachably applied so as to cover the inside faces of the respective press plates 1, 2. On producing the odorizing sheet, cotton cloth is immersed in a solution bearing butanetetracarboxylic acid, basic zinc carbonate, a dispersing agent, and a binder. Thereafter, it is dried. In this way, a deodorizing sheet contains about 2% in wt. of butanetetracarboxylic acid and basic zic carbonate. The deodorizing sheet can be also made of a substance bearing a metal phthalocyanine derivative, e.g. trivalent iron-octacarboxyphthalocyanine. This deodorizing sheet can be regenerated by washing and hence, it can be used repeatedly.
