To obtain a cloth which is used for various fabrics including clothes such as jackets and applicable to various uses by composing the cloth of light weight, making the cloth retain the elasticity, flexibility, air permeability and heat insulating properties or the like and further imparting three-dimensional feeling thereto.

This cloth is obtained by weaving yarns 3 in a fabric 1 so as to compose a protruding ridge in one direction, further weaving a Chenille yarn as each core yarn 4 along the protruding ridge in the interior of the protruding ridge, weaving weft yarns 8 in the direction intersecting the protruding ridge at right angles and providing a rib weave in the cloth. In the constitution, the cloth has requirements such that the yarn 3 constituting the fabric 1 and the core yarn 4 composed of the Chenille yarn are silk yarns, the plural core yarns 4 are used, the protruding ridge protruding in the vertical directions forms the rib weave and the yarn constituting the fabric 1 is a fiber, e.g. wool other than silk or the like.
