PURPOSE: To provide a clothes dryer in which the wet air is never touched to clothes by performing the cycle operation of the adsorbing process of moisture by an adsorbent and the regenerating process of the adsorbent with the high temperature air heated by a regenerating heater, and setting the switching timing of a first air passage switching valve later than the point of time when the passing to the regenerating heater is stopped.
CONSTITUTION: In adsorbing process, a first air passage switching valve 19 is turned on (a)-side, a regenerating heater 13 is off, a first blower 12 is electrified, and a second blower 17 is off to adsorb the moisture of the interior air by an adsorbent, and cloths 8 are also dried with dry high temperature air. In regenerating process, the first air passage switching valve 19 is turned out (b)-side, the regenerating heater 13, the first blower 12, and the second blower are electrified, and the interior air is heated by the regenerating heater 13 and passed through an adsorbent 14 to isolate and release the moisture to the air. Just before the end of the regenerating process, the current-carrying to the regenerating heater 13 is cut, and after the temperature of the adsorptive agent 14 is reduced, the first air passage switching valve 19 is turned out the (a)-side to transfer the process to the adsorbing process.
