To provide a clothes dryer capable of securing high safety by accurately sensing abnormal reduction in the quantity of air when the dispersion in the quantity of air passing through a drying chamber is large owing to the difference in the setting conditions.
An adjustment plate 355 is attached on the outer side of an opening 132 provided at a partition wall 13 of a drying chamber in such a way as slidable in the vertical direction, so that the opening area of a communicating opening 357 for letting the inside/outside of the drying chamber communicate according to the position of the adjustment plate 355. An operation plate 353, movable around a horizontal shaft 352a of a hinge 352, is attached to the outer side of the communication opening 357. When a door of the drying chamber is closed and the inside of the drying chamber is negative pressure in the normal blowing operation, the operation plate 352 is turned by the differential pressure, and a switch 354 is operated accordingly.
