Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clothes dryer capable of saving energy.
SOLUTION: Drying air heated by a heater 6 is supplied into a drum 3, contains the moisture of clothes and is discharged. The water supply valve 7 of a heat exchanger 4 is intermittently opened, and when it is closed, the dying air discharged from the drum 3 is cooled and dehumidified by stored heat by a heat storing material 13. When the heat storing material 13 exceeds a phase change temperature, the water supply valve 7 is opened, and the drying air dehumidified by the heat exchanger 4 is heated by receiving heat from the heat storing material 13, heated further by the heater 6 and then supplied into the drum 3.
