PURPOSE: To constitute the clothes rack so that long clothes can be hung at least in two stages on a small floor area, and also, at the time of hanging clothes in a high position being near the ceiling surface, it can be hung quickly and easily without using a footstool, a stepladder or an ascending/descending device of a horizontal member for hanging clothes, and moreover, there is no fear of an overturn at all, and furthermore, the rack is covered with a good appearance so that the hung clothes is invisible from the outside.

CONSTITUTION: The clothes rack is constituted so that framework 1 like a rectangular parallelopiped is formed by four pieces of support members 10 which can be allowed to abut on the ceiling surface by expansion and contraction, and a front member 20, a back member 30 and both side face members 40, 40 for maintaining a fixed interval between each support member 10, a horizontal member 50 for hanging a clothes hanger from both side face members 40, 40 is attached in a position being near the ceiling surface and in a position being lower than said position so as to become at least two stages, the framework 1 like a rectangular parallelopiped is covered with a body cover 60, and a head cover 64 in accordance with necessity, and the front of the body cover 60 can be opened and closed.
