PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical illusion see-through-preventing woven or knitted fabric suitable for a cool woven or knitted fabric for clothing, capable of achieving that an inner wear or the skin under an object to be worn is hardly to be viewed regardless of a low basis weight and a high air permeability.SOLUTION: The optical illusion see-through-preventing woven or knitted fabric is a woven or knitted fabric in which a pattern having a color difference is provided on a surface of a woven or knitted fabric having holes. The optical illusion see-through-preventing woven or knitted fabric has a pattern with a color difference ΔE of 10 or more on a surface of the woven or knitted fabric. The woven or knitted fabric has a surface hole area ratio of 10% or more, and has a visual observation see-through-preventing property of grade 12, preferably of grade 20 or higher, in a visual observation see-through-preventing inspection in a 32 gradation gray scale. It is further preferable that the optical illusion see-through-preventing woven or knitted fabric has an air permeability of 100 cm/cm/sec or more. It is preferable that, in the optical illusion see-through-preventing woven or knitted fabric, the pattern having a color difference is formed by printing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
