Circuits of ventilating operation and heating operation are added to a control box 20 of this clothing dryer 10. When the ventilating mode is set, only a dehumidifying fan 13 is driven to flow air through an air intake →heat exchanger 12 → rotary drum → dehumidifying fan 13 → dehumidifying duct 15 → outdoor. When the heating mode is set, the dehumidifying fan 13 is driven, simultaneously warm water is circulated in the heat exchanger 12, a dumper 19 is switched to a warm air duct 16 side, air in a room 18 is heated by the heat exchanger 12, and then the air is flowed through a rotary drum →dehumidifying fan 13 → dehumidifying duct 15 → dumper 19 → hot air duct 16 → air outlet 16a to outdoor 18. The number of revolution of the dehumidifying fan can be freely controlled so that drying of clothing meeting its quantity and materials is made.
