To achieve a clear image and scenery for a long time even when a transparent plate of a mirror, a windowpane or the like is installed at a highly humid place by positively removing the foggy conditions due to moisture occurring on their surfaces.

The defrosting device includes: a base mount 2 formed in a plate-like shape; a film mirror material 3 having a mirror face, formed in an endless belt-like shape, and installed on the base mount 2 freely rotatable and movable along the surface side face 2a and the back side face 2b; a pair of rotating rollers 4 and 4 which rotate and move the film mirror material 3; and a wiping member 5 provided at the back side of the base mount 2 and the side part 2c and a brush and so on for removing the moisture adhered to the surface of the film mirror material 3.
