To lower the center of gravity of a club head and the position of a sweet spot so as to improve the flying distance by forming a recessed part which is recessed more than the outer peripheral part of a crown part in the crown part of a club head.

A recessed part 27 which is recessed more than the outer peripheral part 26 of a crown part 18 is formed in the crown part 18. The outer peripheral part 26 is curved to be projected upward to a top edge, a trailing edge, a boundary between the crown part 18 and a toe, and a recessed part 27 formed from the boundary between the crown part 18 and a heel near the center of the crown part 18. The crown part 18 is vertical to a face 12 with a sole 14 of a club head 10 still standing on the horizontal plane, and connected to the sole 14 at the trailing edge side outer peripheral part 23. The recessed part 27 is thus formed, whereby the center of gravity of the club head 10 and a sweet spot can be lowered so that ball hitting can be facilitated to elongate the flying distance.
