PURPOSE: To reduce a load due to bending and calking of tabs, by providing the respective tabs integrally in the plural portions of the inner periphery of a clutch cover, and extending each of the tabs toward a pressure plate via the slit of a diaphragm spring, and providing a notch along the side edge of each of the tabs when a wire ring is supported by the curving portion of each tip of the tabs.

CONSTITUTION: Respective tabs 10 are integrally provided in the plural portions of the inner periphery of a clutch cover 3, and extended toward a pressure plate 2 via the slit 7 of a diaphragm spring 4. And the diaphragm spring 4 is supported at both faces by a pair of wire rings 11, 12 and the curving portion 13 provided on each tip of the tabs 10, while respective slits 15 which extend along the respective side edges of the tabs 10 are provided on the tabs. Then, a press load due to bending and calking of the curving portion 13 is reduced by providing the slits 15; besides, touching pressure of the wire rings 11, 12 is reduced against the diaphragm spring 4, and hence the controlling sense for the clutch can be improved.
