Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent axial and circumferential vibrations of a pressure plate of a clutch cover assembly, by mounting a vibration damping balance weight through an elastic member on the pressure plate. CONSTITUTION:A pressure plate 16 is integrally formed with a fulcrum lad 17a projecting from a rear surface thereof. A dynamic damper 18 is provided on a rear end surface 17b of the plate 16 surrounded by the fulcrum land 17a. The damper 18 is constituted of a balance weight 20 and an elastic member 22. With this arrangement, axial and circumferential vibrations of the pressure plate 16 may be reliably absorbed by the elastic member 22 and the balance weight 20, thereby preventing generation of noise due to so-called stick slip in a semi-engaged clutch condition, for example.
