A clutch engaging/disengaging device 1 includes automatic engaging/disengaging means 2, 7, 78, 79, 35, 62, 64, 68, 74, 72, and (a) which execute automatic engagment and disengagement of a clutch 8 in conformity to the signal input as specified, and also an engine control mean 72 to execute the engine control irrespective of the actual degree of opening of an accel. pedal on the basis of the control degree of accel. opening when the clutch 8 is in automatic engagment and disengagement, whereby the engine control is executed so that the control degree of accel. opening is approached to the degree of accel. pedal opening when automatic engagement is to be made, and the control means 72 changes in steps the approaching speed upon comparison of the dirrerential S of the difference ΔN between the engine revolving speed Ne and the clutch revolving speed Nc with the thresholds H1 and H2 stored previously.
