PURPOSE: To manufacture a clutch device in which a clutch plate can be used for an exceedingly long period until it is worn out considerably, at a low cost, obviating the need of applying a special work of a pressing member and a flywheel even in the case where the thickness of the clutch plate is different.

CONSTITUTION: On the opposite side to the flywheel 2 of a pressing member 20, the outer edge part of a release lever 18 is pivotally supported, and the intermediate part of the release lever 18 is pivotally supported on a holding bracket 17, and the press contact of a clutch plate 8 to the flywheel 2 is released by pressing the inner edge of ht release lever 18 to the flywheel 2 side by a clutch release 9, and thus a clutch device is constituted. Further, a spacer 25 is interposed in demountable manner between the outer peripheral part of the flywheel 2 and the holding bracket 17.
