Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve efficiency of transmission of torque by assembling a lockup clutch inside a fluid clutch and transmitting driving force of an engine to a machine clutch. CONSTITUTION:When a lockup clutch 30 is put in engagement, driving force of an engine bypasses a fluid clutch 10 and is transmitted from a front cover 54 to a piston body 31 of the lockup clutch. Then, after absorption of change of some torque performed in a damper spring mechanism 40, the driving force is mechanically transmitted to a clutch hub 21 of a machine clutch 20. Accordingly, transmission, more efficient than transmission through the fluid clutch 10 in the nonengaged condition, can be performed.
