Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clutch drum which has a smaller number of part items while maintaining optimization in thickness and weight of each part. SOLUTION: A drum body 4 comprises a bottom wall 2 having a smaller diameter cylindrical part 8 and a main cylindrical part 3 in which a spline 11 is formed in the inner peripheral surface thereof to become a clutch disc accommodation part, and a circumferential groove 6 for snap ring used as a coming out stopper for the clutch disc is formed around the inner periphery of the open end part of the main cylindrical part 3. An auxiliary cylindrical part 5 to which an internal gear for power transmission is connected and a rim part 7 which is located externally of the circumferential groove 6 to reinforce the same portion are formed as one body together with the drum body 4 by a rotational wall drawback spinning forming procedures using one piece of sheet metal blank.
