Abstract:
To provide a clutch drum capable of transmitting sufficiently large torque and preventing the occurrence of jig breakage in form rolling, and a manufacturing method of the clutch drum.
In a clutch drum 1 which has a spline 5 engaged with a friction plate 12 in the inner periphery, the spline includes a tooth tip 4a with a curved surface in one of both peripheral edges. The manufacturing method of the clutch drum is a manufacturing method in which the spline is formed in the inner periphery. The spline is formed by form rolling on a tooth shape molding tool in which a dedendum in a rotary direction has a curved surface.
