Abstract:
To provide a small-sized clutch mechanism with excellent operability, and to provide a brake device.SOLUTION: A clutch mechanism includes: a rolling element guide 21 including a restriction groove 21b which includes a first groove formed along a circumferential direction and a second groove formed toward the outside in the radial direction from a lock direction end part of the first groove, and provided integrally with an output member in a rotatable manner; a rolling element stored in the restriction groove; and a pair of clutch housings 23, 24 including a storage pocket 23c provided corresponding to the second groove, and arranged oppositely by sandwiching the rolling element guide. When the rolling element guide rotates in an idling direction, the rolling element stays in the first groove and the rolling element guide idles without resistance with respect to the clutch housings. When the rolling element guide rotates in a lock direction, the rolling element moves to an end part in the lock direction of the first groove and then stored in the second groove and the storage pocket by a centrifugal force, and the rolling element guide and the clutch housings are integrated via the rolling element.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
