Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clutch mechanism which unfailingly prevents a rotary shaft of an electric motor from being rotated by rotation force caused by external force without increasing the size of the device, and to provide a speed reducer with a clutch.SOLUTION: A clutch mechanism includes: a worm wheel 16 to which rotation of an electric motor is input; a drive plate 41 which engages with the worm wheel 16 and outputs the rotation of the electric motor; a lock plate 38 which engages with protruding parts 52a, 52b of the drive plate 41; a nut 33 which restricts axial movement of the worm wheel 16, the drive plate 41, and the lock plate 38; a brake spring 70 which is formed into a C shape so that a protruding part 52b is disposed in an opening and has an inner bending part 72a which may integrally rotate with the worm wheel 16; and a casing 11 which houses the worm wheel 16, the drive plate 41, and the lock plate 38 and has a cylinder part 21 into which the brake spring 70 fits.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
