To enhance the mechanical strength of a locking member, in a clutch release device of a type that a pair of pins of the release fork are locked, by forming a groove-shaped recessed part in the direction to slide the pins in the locking member in which the pins are locked so as to be slidable in the prescribed direction.
A clutch release device 20 provided with a clutch release bearing 4 having an outer ring 1, an inner ring 2, and rolling bodies 3 is provided both with a cylindrical part 5a fitted into the inner ring 2 of the bearing 4 and with a sleeve 5 consisting of a flange part 5b; and a pair of locking members 6 are provided in the flange part 5b. Locking grooves 6a long in the direction perpendicular to the axial direction and whose both ends are opened for receiving pins 11 are formed. Further, an inwardly opened groove-shaped recessed part is formed into the locking groove 6a. A pair of the pins 11 provided at the turning end parts of a release fork 9 integrally connected to the shaft 10 turned by the clutch operation are slidably locked to the locking grooves 6a respectively.
