To provide a clutch unit which comprises a lock type reverse input blocking clutch and an operation lever, in which the position of the operation lever can be changed while the state of the clutch side is maintained.
An engagement means and an engagement release means are provided between an operation lever 3 and the input-side member 4 of a reverse input blocking clutch 2. The engagement means engages the operation lever 3 and the input-side member 4 with each other by fitting the other end-side small-diameter section 21b of a pin 21, which is provided to the operation lever 3, into a pin hole 7a formed in the input shaft (shaft section) 7 of the input-side member 4. The engagement release means extracts the other end-side small-diameter section 21b of the pin from the pin hole 7a to release the engaged state produced by the engagement means. When rotated while the engagement by the engagement means is released, the operation lever 3 freely rotates around the input shaft 7. Thereby, the position of the operation lever 3 can be freely changed while the state of the reverse input blocking clutch 2 side is maintained.
