Abstract:
To provide a clutch unit capable of suppressing breakage and deformation of components even when an excessive load is applied in a state that an output side clutch is locked.SOLUTION: A clutch unit 100 for use in a vehicle seat has an operation lever 21, an operation bracket 54, an output shaft member 30, an input-side clutch 50, an output-side clutch 60, and a housing 11. An input-side outer ring member 52 of the input-side clutch 50 has a bottom part 52b on a circular disk, and an outer ring part 52c extending from an outer edge portion of the bottom part 52b to an input side. A part of the outer ring part 52c of the input-side outer ring member 52 is a thickened part 52e that protrudes outward in the radial direction of the input-side outer ring member 52. The thickness of the thickened part 52e in the radial direction is greater than the thickness of a non-thickened part 52f in the radial direction, which is a portion of the outer ring part 52c other than the thickened part 52e.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
