To provide a system for co-aligning multiple laser beams which automatically and instantaneously conducts co-alignment of the output beams from each of the lasers to a single spatial reference point in real time.
The aligning system is one for co-alignment of the multiple laser beams to the single spatial reference point. The aligning system includes a beam sampler for sampling the multiple pulsed laser beams. The sampled laser beams are directed to a quadripartite photodetector, that is, a quadripartite cell. The output signals from the quadripartite cell are directed toward a detector signal integration circuit which develops error signals for driving tip-tilted mirrors in the beam path of the large number of lasers. The system includes a gate reset pulse ID generator for making pulse trigger signals generated for each of the large number of lasers and signals for correlating the detector signals with the laser that generated the signal.
