Abstract:
To provide a coagulant containing silica and a metal component.
The coagulant manufacturing device 10A has a production means for producing the coagulant which results from the bond of silica and metal ions to each other by introducing the metal ions of group 8 of a periodic table into a fluid containing silica. A pair of electrodes can be adopted as the production means. The coagulation effect of the coagulant manufactured by such a coagulant manufacturing device 10 is extremely high and variation with age of the coagulation effect is also less. The coagulant can be produced using CMP (chemical-mechanical polishing) discharge water containing a large amount of silica as a material.
