Abstract:
To provide a coal gasifier adapted so that water seal between a preheater and a slag hopper may not be broken even if slag tap is stopped during operation.
This gasifier consists of a charr gasifier 4 communicating with the bottom of a coal heat decomposition oven 3, a preheating furnace 5 communicating with the gasifier 4 through a slag tap 6; and a slag hopper 7 connected with the furnace 5 through a water seal 8, wherein the oven 3 is provided with a coal burner or a cola nozzle 9, the gasifier 4 is provided with a charr burner 10, the furnace 5 is provided with a burner 11 for heating the slag tap 6. A bypass line 14 which can send the gas in the furnace 5 to the gasifier 4 is provided between the furnace 5 and the gasifier 4.
