Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make a system compact and thus to reduce a necessary floor space to half by providing a self-propelled feeder moving forward and backward in a coarse refuse feed hopper, thereby pushing refuse into a cutter.
CONSTITUTION: A coarse refuse feeder 3 is self-propelled to move forward and backward in a hopper 2 by changing a motor 34 for running direction. A coarse refuse 4 is fed at a position where it comes backmost through the hopper, the motor starts upon command, a car body 32 runs forward to a cutter 1, and thus the coarse refuse 4 is fed into the cutter 1. Upon moving forward by a preset stroke, the feeder 3 comes to move backward and stop at an original standby position, thus completing one cycle of operation.
